New Stewardship

Welcome to SCI Houston. As we enter into the new year there is a shift in leadership. Please join us in welcoming our new Chapter President Michael O’Day. Michael steps into this position with a long relationship with SCI – local, national, and international. We look forward to Michael’s leadership of our Chapter.

Michael O'Day

Chair President

Michael has been a lifelong supporter of Safari Club International along with various other conservation groups having served with the Alamo Chapter BOD on their Scholarship Committee and thus since with SCI-Houston as Awards Chair, Vice President, and President-Elect. Michael studied Wildlife Biology at Texas State University-San Marcos and now works in the oil and gas industry, living in Cypress with his wife, Christine, and baby boy Aiden.  Michael is an avid sportsman, conservationist, and just the type of guy who likes to get outdoors and have fun.  Having grown up in a family of hunters Michael was fortunate enough to have won SCI-National Young Hunter of the Year back in 1999.
